Mrs Scotts School Creations

I have been blessed to teach in the state of Texas for 13 years now! I began my career as a first grade teacher and after four years, my principal offered me the job as the P.E. teacher for our school. At the time, our school was Kindergarten-6th grade. After a year of that, I decided to take a break from education, only to come right back to it after missing it! I then taught fifth grade Social Studies for one year, then added Language Arts to that for two more years. My husband and I had our first baby and moved closer to family and I taught first grade until 2016. I am venturing into a new area and will teach Pre-K through 2nd grade music now!

I believe that every child truly yearns to have structure! Therefore, I try to create a classroom where the children feel free to learn, but also feel safe to know what is expected of them. I love learning new things and applying them in my room.

I graduated from Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, Texas. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a major in Elementary Education.

I am the proud wife of Shawn and the blessed mommy of Shancy and Hudson!
