TEACHING EXPERIENCE

My teaching journey started August 2012. It's been quite the adventure. My first two years I was a departmentalized math and science 3rd grade teacher. When I moved to my current school in 2014 I was a 3rd grade teacher who taught every subject, but we switched classes for each subject. This meant I had 3 separate classes, Language Arts, Math, and Social Studies/Science. It was difficult to get use to at first, but I ended up really enjoying it. My fourth year of teaching I was moved to 2nd grade. This change was a huge surprise, but it ended up being a blessing in disguise. I absolutely love teaching 2nd grade and am so happy I was moved. Right before my 5th (and current) year of teaching I was asked to be the 2nd grade team leader. I am very excited to see what new adventures this year brings!
