TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've taught 3 year olds to 8th grade general music, elementary choir, 6th-8th grade choir and 6th-8th grade band. I founded the three middle school ensembles (2 bands and choir) on a cart, without a budget. Teaching music is my life long dream come true! I am a member of OAKE, MIKE, NAfME, and MMEA. I am the current President Elect for the Michigan Kodaly Educators, the MMC planning committee representative for MMEA, MMEA PD Co-Char, OAKE APR Committee, and OAKE Midwest 1 Representative Elect.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in student led learning, the joy of making music and that EVERYONE is musical. I use the Kodály method but believe strongly that what works for you is the best for your students!
