TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught in public school and preschool for over 10 years as well as serving as a full-time Children's Ministry Director. I'm currently an administrator for a preschool (2 years) and an instructional coach and curriculum writer for Kids' MusicRound, award-winning early childhood music and movement program (over 10 years).

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am an energetic teacher who loves watching students discover, create, explore, and share what they've learned with others. A strong believer in inquiry and a student-centered approach, I use the workshop and 5 E models frequently and am always looking for new ideas to incorporate into my teaching!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I am so honored to have been nominated for the NJ Governor's Teacher Award and the Irving Teacher of the Year Award.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I started my college career at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ. After a year of incredible instruction and music-making, I transferred to The College of New Jersey, where I graduated with an Elementary Education/Music degree. I loved it so much that I spent some extra time earning additional credits in both math and English. I have also spent many years studying early childhood music and movement with Kids' MusicRound. In addition to gaining their teacher certification, I am also a certified Instructional Coach.
