I have taught first grade since for 9 years and third grade for 1 year. I am now my campus' media resource specialist. I graduated from TCU in 2005. Prior to that I worked at a preschool while I majored in Early Childhood Education, and while I was in high school.
Student-centered and differentiated as much as possible! I try to incorporate whole brain teaching, student engagement, and technology.
Teacher of the Year 2010
I attended school from preschool to high school in Richardson ISD. I received my bachelors degree from TCU in Fort Worth. I plan to earn my masters in technology integration. I love my job and cannot imagine my life without it!
I am the proud mom of 2 step sons, ages 14 and 17, and one son who is approaching his 2nd grade year. Find me on Twitter: @MrsAColwell Visit my blog: acolwell.blogspot.com
