This was one of my students' favorite activities! Because it was such a small class, I had the opportunity to bus them over to the grocery store during their final (we had 90 min). This is a GREAT way to compile the information you have learned in

MY TEACHING STYLE

Like (I would hope) most teachers, I LOVE teaching. I am passionate about my content area, and I love nurturing a similar passion in my students (at least I try!). I strongly believe that students are responsible for their own learning. I am the facilitator. The advisor. The mentor. The educator, and yes, the source of all health information, even "the gross stuff" as my students say. But, in my classroom, my students are responsible for their own learning, and by establishing relationships and showing that I care both for WHAT I teach as well as WHO I teach, I create an environment where students, (whether I can get them to admit it or not) have fun learning. That, inevitably, is my goal. My lesson and unit plans vary every day. I am big on individual and group work, projects, and hands-on learning. Again, I want to develop a passion in the students, and that doesn't happen unless they learn in their own way, being drawn to what interests them the most within each subject. My lesson plans serve a broad range of grades within one class, but they can easily be modified to be easier, or more advanced.
