TEACHING EXPERIENCE

As an Art Educator I am committed to: • Creating lesson plans based on the Massachusetts Art Curriculum Frameworks, the NAEA’s National Visual Arts Standards, and the district's Elementary Visual Arts Curriculum, which I co-authored in 2016. • Using PBIS, Responsive Classroom, and differentiated instruction to ensure a positive learning enviornment that integrates artistic, academic, and social-emotional skills. • Creating SMART goals to challenge my professional practices and student learning objectives. • Using technology in the classroom in the form of presentations, interactive activies, and social-media based communication for parent and community engagment. • Maintaining active involvement in school, district, and community events.

MY TEACHING STYLE

In the Artroom students are encouraged to express themselves, while also exploring new materials and techniques. I create interdisciplinary Art lessons using the district, state, and NAEA national standards. I truly believe I have the best career in the world!
