These are the 3 surveys I use when I am ready to write an IEP. The student survey asks the student what their plans are, what they feel they need assistance in......etc. The teacher survey asks the teachers about the student in their class.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching in the area of Special Education for 23 years. I started off working at a Catholic School in the morning and a Hebrew Academy in the afternoon. My first full-time teaching job was for Cleveland City Schools. I taught in inner city Cleveland as a Pre-K teacher for 10 years. After having my son, I decided to find a teaching position closer to home. In 2001, I began teaching for Streetsboro City Schools as a Special Education teacher for 6th grade. I taught all 4 content areas within the resource room. I know teach 1 resource room 8th grade math class, 2 inclusion 8t grade math classes and 1 7th grade science inclusion class.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am a very structured in my classroom, but yet still like to have fun with the kids. Since I had children, I tend to choose my "battles" with my kids at school and my biological children. Although there is one thing I will not tolerate from either biological or kids at school........this is "respect".
