I have been teaching in the area of Special Education for 23 years. I started off working at a Catholic School in the morning and a Hebrew Academy in the afternoon. My first full-time teaching job was for Cleveland City Schools. I taught in inner city Cleveland as a Pre-K teacher for 10 years. After having my son, I decided to find a teaching position closer to home. In 2001, I began teaching for Streetsboro City Schools as a Special Education teacher for 6th grade. I taught all 4 content areas within the resource room. I know teach 1 resource room 8th grade math class, 2 inclusion 8t grade math classes and 1 7th grade science inclusion class.
I am a very structured in my classroom, but yet still like to have fun with the kids. Since I had children, I tend to choose my "battles" with my kids at school and my biological children. Although there is one thing I will not tolerate from either biological or kids at school........this is "respect".
