During student teaching in the credential program I spent 3 months teaching a 2nd grade class and 3 months teaching a 6th grade class. After graduating in 2009 I began subbing in grades K-6. I was hired on full-time in a 3rd grade class for the 2011-2012 school year and have been teaching 3rd grade ever since. I work at a Charter school in a self-contained 3rd grade class.
Scholars learn best when a classroom environment is safe and has regular routines, procedures, and expectations (both academically and behaviorally). All children learn differently so I strive to teach in a way that reaches everyone.
Yet to be added.
I graduated in 2009 from California State University, San Bernardino. I received a preliminary teaching credential and a BA in Liberal Studies with honors. While teaching 3rd grade I completed a BTSA program in order to clear my credential. I will be finished with BTSA in May of 2014 and will apply for my clear teaching credential.
I am a mother of two healthy, active, and awesome children. Both attend the Charter school that I teach at. My daughter is 6 and my son is 8. In our down time we enjoy camping, racing dirt bikes, going to the lake, reading, and just spending time together. My husband and son are both very active in the desert racing community and we enjoy supporting their passion.
