I spent ten years teaching in a diverse Middle School, with 6th through 8th grades. For the past five years, I have been teaching 10th grade Civics & Economics, and now 9th Grade World History & Geography in an innovative Early College High School setting.
I try every day to bring the world to my students, using relevant and timely connections to my curriculum. My classroom is dynamic, rigorous, and hopefully fun. My students teach each other, write and speak often, and see Social Studies as a vital and exciting tool for them to learn about the world they live in. I seek 100% engagement during every minute of every class.
