TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a Special Education Teacher for a K-8 public school in the state of Connecticut, USA. I am the Resource Room Teacher and Case Manager of 31 students in Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 6th and 7th grades. My student’s classifications include: Autism, Intellectual Disability, Emotional Disability, Specific Learning Disability, and OHI.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I provide explicit, small group instruction in reading, writing, and math to my students. I pull small groups of students into the resource room for a certain amount of hours per day. I take groups by grade level and focus on explicit, small group instruction. Most of my teaching happens at our kidney table in small groups of about 5-10 students.
