25 years of teaching experience in Early Childhood and Elementary Education including classroom teaching in primary grades as well as the intermediate grades. I was a Literacy Coach in a suburban school near Boston for 8 years.Currently, I am in my 18th year as a Reading Interventionist at the elementary level.
My teaching style includes motivating and engaging books, hands-on activities, and more. I work with small groups of students in grades K-5 for reading support in the areas of phonemic awareness, phonics, comprehension, fluency,close reading and ELA test preparation.
I was on the Dean's List at my undergraduate university in Texas and at Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. I have written and received literacy grants for my school.

In my free time, you can find me at home cooking, entertaining friends, and playing games with my playful cat. I enjoy photography and watching baseball. Long walks in the woods and short hikes refresh me. When relaxing, I can be found making beaded jewelry, knitting or making a photo album or creating for Teachers Pay Teachers !
