I have been working with special education students for 18 years. I have always believed in the "underdog" and try my best to make sure I go to work with a good sense of humor.
I believe in allowing students to stretch and stand. Some children can't sit for 6 hours straight...can you? I do not like it when a student gives up on themselves...makes me sad enough to keep trying to encourage them. I'm pretty laid back but I do ask for respect. I hope my kids feel the love even when I'm correcting them.
