TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I'm a 5th year teacher in the Madison Metropolitan School District of Madison, WI. My student teaching semester and most practica were in first grade classrooms, while my first 2 years of teaching were in 4/5 inclusive classrooms. I have been teaching third grade for 3 years now and LOVE it. I have some experience with IEP clusters, but most of my teaching has been with ELL (English Language Learner) and AL (Advanced Learner) clusters.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Student-centered - Responsive Classroom - CLR (culturally & linguistically responsive) - Gradual release of responsibility - and I work on lots of opportunities for partner and small group work to build students' capacity to cooperate, communicate, and own their learning.
