As a Speech-Language Pathologist working in the public school setting for the last 17 years, I have created and would love to share the many activities specific to my student's speech and language deficits. I have worked with articulation and phonology disorders, language impairments/delay, students with fluency disorders, children with autism and similar syndromes/disorders, nonverbal students, and students with severe to profound intellectual disabilities.
Due to the caseload of the public school setting, students are typically served in groups of 3-4 with varying disorders and diagnoses in the same group. We must target every student's IEPs each session, making my teaching style flexible but fun!

"Ms Gardenia" is married, has two children and two chihuahuas that don't even weigh five pounds total combined. When she is not doing speech therapy, she loves to crochet, sew, read, and create materials. To spend more time with her family and church, "Ms Gardenia" recently stepped down from a management role in the corporate medical model of therapy and is thoroughly enjoying the challenge and opportunity to get back to doing actual therapy. So much has changed, specifically technology, in the last few years, making therapy more engaging and fun for the students.
