I taught in the public schools of North Carolina and Michigan for 13 years. I received my Master's Degree in Instructional Design and began a career in instructional design. I am now using the skills I learned as a designer to create materials for teachers in all grades.
I believe that all children can learn, but all children don't learn the same way. In my classroom, I would encourage children to approach learning in a variety of ways. I taught various strategies to all students, encouraging them to find the strategies they were most comfortable with and strengthen them. Self-discovery and experimentation are vital for students to understand how they learn best and how they can be successful in school.
