This fall will start my 5th year teaching. I taught Transitional Kindergarten for 1 year and Pre-Kindergarten for 3 years. I have spent my entire career teaching in Georgia.
I believe children learn best through play. I teach my pre-k students through games and activities in large and small group settings. I think learning should be engaging and fun. I strive to teach through utilizing my students' various interests and personal strengths.
Teacher of the Month: August 2015, Carrington Academy
I hold a dual-degree in Early Childhood Education (P-5) and Special Education (P-12) from North Georgia College and State University (now North Georgia University) of Dahlonega, GA.
I live in north-metro Atlanta, Georgia with my turtle, Franklin. I enjoy reading, writing, and listening to music.
