I am a seventh year English teacher, and have worked solely at high performing charter schools in urban settings. After being a founding teacher at a charter school in New York City and helping build the school for five years, I moved to Boston. I currently work as the 8th grade reading teacher and co-chair of the English Department at Boston Collegiate Charter School.
I teach literary skills effectively as a basis for higher order performance tasks and literary analysis. Students are pushed to have their own voice in which to propel others to think and learn independently. My curriculum includes various points of entry for all styles of learners to succeed.
