Make it FUN! I like instruction that is hands on, functional, and that relates and connects to their life. I excel in creating modifications for my students when they go out to their general education classrooms so they will be successful in that setting. I also enjoy creating social stories, behavior plans, and visuals for my students. I have created my own reading curriculum in teaching my students sight words (lists K-2) based on memorization that scaffolds.

I am married to a wonderful and handsome man named Tom. He is profoundly Deaf, our relationship is Deaf-centered and love it! I am fluent in American Sign Language and love to use it to help my students who are non-verbal, need help in communicating more, and even in academics such as learning sight words.
