About the store
I have been a high school English teacher for three years, but my experience working with students goes back much further. From teaching robotics classes to young children to coaching soccer for over six years, I’ve seen firsthand how strong relationships drive motivation and success. I firmly believe that students work hardest for teachers who invest in them, which is why relationship-building is at the heart of my teaching.

Experience

I have been a high school English teacher for three years, but my experience working with students goes back much further. From teaching robotics classes to young children to coaching soccer for over six years, I’ve seen firsthand how strong relationships drive motivation and success. I firmly believe that students work hardest for teachers who invest in them, which is why relationship-building is at the heart of my teaching.

Teaching style

Teaching today comes with constant challenges—low engagement, struggling readers, and increasing pressure to meet standards—all while trying to keep students motivated. I know firsthand how difficult it is to find resources that are both engaging and academically rigorous. To keep students engaged, I gamify lessons whenever possible—whether through competition, interactive challenges, or activities that turn learning into an experience. When students are actively involved and having fun, they retain information better and develop a more positive attitude toward reading and writing. Above all, I believe learning should be engaging but purposeful. My goal is to create resources that make your job easier, saving you time while ensuring students are actively thinking, reading, and writing. Whether you're looking for independent activities, scaffolded lessons, or critical thinking exercises, my resources are designed to support both you and your students in a way that is manageable, effective, and grounded in research.

My own education history

I graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics and a minor in Spanish. I chose linguistics because I’ve always been fascinated by how language works—how we learn it, how it’s structured, and how it shapes the way we communicate. I believe that understanding the foundations of language makes me a better English teacher, helping me break down reading and writing in a way that makes sense for students. Right now, I’m finishing my master’s degree in Secondary English Education, which has helped me dive even deeper into effective teaching strategies. I’m always looking for ways to make learning more engaging, accessible, and meaningful for students while keeping things grounded in research and best practices.
