TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught Dual Language (bilingual English and Spanish) Kindergarten for 4 years. I then became a reading interventionist working on reading skills in both English and Spanish with students from Pre-School through 3rd grade. I have been working at a school with majority Latino native Spanish speakers for 5 years.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I teach Dual Language- in English and Spanish. I love providing my students with engaging activities that focus on the individual skills they need to work on. Differentiation is essential.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I earned ratings of "Highly Effective" (the highest teacher effectiveness rating) the past two years in my district.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I attended Miami-Dade public schools. I graduated from Dartmouth College with Honors and a major in Psychology. I became a teacher through Teach for America. I earned a masters degree in Early Childhood Education from George Mason University.
