I began my career in March of 2016, taking over a term position. That September, I accepted a position at a local high school for a year, which turned into a permanent position. I now call that school my home.
I have a very laid-back kind of style, sprinkled with procedures. I like to talk to my students during instruction, tell jokes, and let them know who I am as a person. I love stations and group-work type assignments. You shouldn't be working harder than the students. It also teaches them valuable interpersonal skills. I attempt to use technology in the classroom, but since we are not 1:1 it is not as often as I would like, but I hope to consistently create engaging and technologically savvy resources to share.

I completed a combined BA/BEd program at a small French university in Nova Scotia, Canada. I graduated in May of 2016 and I have been in the classroom ever since. In the near future I will begin my first Master's degree focusing on culturally responsive pedagogy.
I live in a small, rural Nova Scotia town with my partner and our lovable pup, Mia. When I'm not creating resources or correcting, I love to binge-watch Netflix, read, write, and re-decorate my home.
