TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a first grade teacher in an urban school district. I have taught for two years in a dual language program, teaching English and Spanish to native and nonnative speakers! I have several years of experience in preK and preschool education as well. I currently work with the ELL population as well as native speakers teaching in a SEI classroom.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I use a lot of power points to help introduce and reinforce topics. Using the power points helps me to break down challenging concepts for students in a way that is interactive and engaging. My students love to use the smartboard in my room to answer questions, and the fun animations allow students to visualize correct or incorrect answers.
