TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I teach 11th grade chemistry in Boston Public Schools at Boston Green Academy. We are a trauma informed and a trauma sensitive school because we recognize we cannot teach a child until we are taking care of the whole child.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I do inquiry based learning for the most part and have a high emphasis on literacy in my classroom, using evidence-based reasoning (CER) to build my students critical lens and analysis of their world. I use standards-based grading in my classroom so all of my assessments are aligned to my standards, which are based on the MA curriculum frameworks, which closely resembles the common core standards.
