I've worked with students grades 1st-6th with the most experience at the 4th and 5th grade level.
I LOVE keeping learning hands-on, relevant, and engaging. Students are the main guides as we incorporate their interests, learning styles, and inquiries. Technology plays an important role in my classroom, using videos, internet, word processing/publishing tools, iPods, iPads, laptops, projectors, SMART Board, and more. Most importantly we learn from each other and have fun!
Grant for iPod touches in the classroom (2010). Pilot classroom at school-site for educational technology.
M.A. in Interdisciplinary Education: STEEM (Science, Technology, Environmental Education, and Math) Single Subject Math Credential Multiple Subject Teaching Credential Bachelor's in Liberal Studies.
I'm a 3rd generation teacher and love every minute of it! I believe in constructivist philosophy in designing learning opportunities for students to connect and build meaning through guided inquiry. Most of all, I love to learn! I continue my studies through professional development and am a learner outside the classroom by trying new things. My most recent learning has been teaching myself how to play the ukulele! Please contact me for any questions about lesson downloads before or after purchasing. I'd love to help!
