I am a 3rd grade teacher in Kansas. I spend my time teaching, blogging, creating lessons and coaching middle school volleyball. I am lucky to have been teaching since 2003. More than anything, I love teaching elementary students and making new/engaging lessons for my classroom. I am happy to be able to share them with other students and teachers around the world as well.
Cooperative learning, differentiation and engagement are the best types of learning activities! My instant math centers were made for this. Stick them on a ring and tack them up by your math wall with a t-pin. Or, better yet, use my math drawer labels and you will find them in an instant. I want to create things that can be pulled off the shelf quickly and that children beg for! I like to read William Allen White books during the summer and create book studies that are ready to use with students.
I've received a Golden Apple Award, KARSP Grant, CUA Grant, Donors Choose Grant and more!

I believe that we get back what we put into education. Children deserve the best! Treat each child as if they are your own because to someone, they are the world!
