I am a drama teacher and trainer that has worked in Singapore and Canada teaching both Dramatic Arts and English. I have worked as an independent travelling artist in private Elementary schools in Toronto and I currently work at a private International Secondary school in downtown Toronto. I will be spending my summer working with the Great Big Theatre Company's summer drama camps for students. I completed my undergraduate degree in Drama in Education and Community with a double minor in English and Psychology. I completed my Bachelor of Education in Drama/English for Intermediate.Secondary in the Artist in Community Education program.
I work with the philosophy of being a facilitator for student's learning. I tend to be more social constructivist in my teaching strategies and infuse some critical literacy with my English and Drama teaching. I work mostly with multi-lingual students in diverse environments with language and dramatic arts as well as personal presentation and theatre studies.
