I like to use this lab at the beginning of the year to orient students to laboratory rules and procedures while completing a lab that should be a review. Every year, however, I am surprised by how many students struggle to read a ruler or graduated

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught high school science for 8 years at a public school in Montana. I've taught Biology1, Biology 2, Physics, Earth Science, and Environmental Science. During my student teaching experience I also taught Anatomy and Physiology.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am definitely a hands-on teacher and use a lot of visuals during discussions. I set up at least one lab or project per chapter and incorporate a lab assessment as well. During class I specifically incorporate questions for students to discuss with their partners before moving on. This allows us to check in and see what they're grasping.
