I am currently teaching at 3 different public schools in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada as well as the University of Winnipeg. I am currently teaching music programs which consist of Band, Guitar, Vocal, Instrumental Music, Composition, and Jazz Band. I love to perform and practice piano, trumpet and guitar. I have taught all around the world including places such as Uganda, Brazil, and Los Angeles.
My teaching style is very "zen" like. I appreciate it most when students come to conclusions about their own learning strengths and find a way to clear a path in their mind to enlightenment. Although many students will battle with this principal, I attempt to find compromise whenever possible and determine what is going to work best for every particular student's needs.

I was in NOLA during the summer of 2012 aiding Habitat for Humanity with the rebuilding of Hurricane Katrina homes. During the summers of 2011 & 2012, I volunteered with the LAMP Community in Los Angeles aiding the homeless and substance addicted with art and music workshops and also spent time at Inner City Arts in the downtown LA area. In the summer of 2010, I flew half way across the world to Mpigi, Uganda and taught music at a school in a small village there. They taught me more than they will ever know. They were the teachers and I became the student. The LRSD schools I am a part of have produced multiple CD’s to aid with ongoing projects at the school in Africa. In closing, I think these two quotes are crucial things to remember: “The people, who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones that do.” - Steve Jobs “We all do ‘do, re, mi,’ but you have got to find the other notes yourself.” - Louis Armstrong
