I just started my 3rd year of teaching in an elementary school setting! It has been a wonderful time and I'm excited to see where teaching takes me! :)
I have a fairly laid-back classroom. I want the kids to feel comfortable to be weird, strange, silly, fun, expressive, lively, energetic, and anything else they can! As long as they're following the only two rules I have, respect and participate, anything goes!
I haven't received any yet, but I'm working hard every day to work my way up to one!
I started my journey into education at a community college. I finished most of my generals there and then transferred to a four-year university where I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. I was an intern for one of my favorite professors in a class that had been one of the most difficult classes I had ever taken: Aural Skills. Being an intern in that setting made me really understand the value of your inner ear and hearing the music correctly. It was an amazing experience to work with other people my own age and help them overcome this difficult class as I had done! :)
I love animals! In another life I was probably a Veterinarian.
