TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have 25 years teaching experience with kindergarten through college level music. I have extensive experience as a mentor, curriculum and assessment director, integrated curriculum designer and presenter. I've presented workshops in district, state and national settings. I've also taught elementary and middle school ELA and math, and worked as an administrator for a few years. I'm currently working as a district music curriculum specialist and implementing a large-scale arts integration program. I also enjoy composing/arranging, working with technology, creating graphics, and of course, family time!

MY TEACHING STYLE

Eclectic - drawing on experience, creativity and compassion, along with Kodaly and Orff training to meet individual student and group needs. I use "Power Teaching" with a musical twist, and believe meaningful student engagement is my best management tool.
