ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

An aspiring educator, Ms. Carr dreams of a world where peace, harmony, and fellowship are fostered through the art of music.
Carr began her musical studies while a student at Helias Catholic High School in Jefferson City, Missouri, where she was inspired by her teacher and mentor, Jana Fox, to pursue a degree in Music Education.
During her four years at Central Methodist University in Fayette, Missouri, Carr was heavily involved in the Swinney Conservatory of Music. A member of the CMU Chorale, Conservatory Singers, Chapel Band, Opera Workshop, National Association for Music Educators – Collegiate, Students of National Association for Teachers of Singing, and Kappa Delta Pi, Carr has performed on tour across Missouri and the United States as an active student and musician while pursuing her degree in Vocal Music Education. She will travel to San Antonio, Texas with the CMU Chorale in May 2019 after commencement for her final tour with the ensemble. Carr studied voice with Dr. Laura Wiebe, and worked under the direction and mentorship of Dr. Claude Westfall.
It was during her time at Central that Carr became involved with The Navigators, an international Christian ministry with the vision “To Know Christ and to Make Him Known.” It was here she felt the call and desire to minister to others through music. Carr will be traveling to Gwangju, South Korea for eight weeks during the Summer of 2019 to complete an international summer training program with the Navigators ministry. She will be co-leading a team of Americans with a focus on intentionality and engaging with college students, while serving alongside the Koreans and teaching music and leading worship.
During her spare time, Carr enjoys spending time with friends over coffee, speaking life and encouragement into others, and spreading positivity, joy, kindness, and a passionate love for music wherever she goes.
