I have taught in both the public and independent school systems for 15+ years in classes ranging from Grade 1 - Grade 7. However, I must admit my favourite age has been the Grade 4's and 5's. It is my desire to help my students discover and develop the skills and gifts they have been blessed with to be a positive change for the world they live in.
I thrive in an environment that is organized and yet welcoming and fun. I have high expectations for my students to achieve their personal best. I also firmly believe that we are a community of learners and that we have a responsibility to use our gifts and talents to encourage and build up those around us who are struggling. My life experience has taught me the value of community and I strive to build that caring atmosphere with my class.

Bachelor of Education - Elementary Focus - Awarded "Distinction" on my diploma.
I have had a passion for teaching since my elementary years when I had a very inspirational teacher who stayed connected with my learning all the way through university. My second passion is doing humanitarian work during my summer breaks with AIDS orphaned kids. My experiences there, with the orphans, has enriched my life and inspired me to teach my students to look beyond the walls of the classroom and themselves to see how they could help others.
