Twenty-seven years of experience in High School setting. Teaching Environmental Science, Genetics, Introduction to Biology, Biology I and II, Zoology I and II, and Human Anatomy and Physiology. Biology was taught in accordance to the objectives and concepts covered for the Mississippi Subject Area Test.
Lecture (sometimes with guided notes due to time). Short videos to reinforce content of lecture or expand on the concept. Labs related to concepts of topic in class. My classes for Human Anatomy and Physiology perform three dissections consisting of the pig kidney, sheep brain and heart. Other labs include blood typing, lung volume, and composition of molecular models. My classes for Zoology I and II perform dissections of the Earthworm, Grasshopper, Anole Lizard, Dogfish Shark as well as online dissections of the Starfish, Frog, Squid, and Fetal Pig. Zoology classes are similar with fewer guided notes. Activities and labs are to reinforce concepts covered in lecture.

Received BS in Science Education and Sports Medicine at the University of Southern Mississippi. Master of Education with emphasis in secondary education from William Carey University.
Worked at the University of Southern Mississippi with the Summer Duke Tips Program for the Academically Talented. Taught the summer program for three years where I taught students in grades 7-11 High School Human Anatomy and Physiology. I have been a Preceptor (Clinical Instructor for the University of Southern Mississippi's Athletic Training's Program for 23 years. Students obtain clinical experience under my supervision at my facilities at my high school.
