*7th and 8th grade English Language Arts and Reading teacher *High school teacher of at-risk students *National Bestselling author of 12 books
I believe in a learner-centered classroom where students take ownership in their learning. Cooperative learning is key in my instruction, tapping into students' natural inclination to be social. Inquiry is also an essential component of my classroom and how instruction evolves for my students.
I'm a National Bestselling author. I practice what I preach!
I'm a graduate of the University of California at Davis and taught in California in middle school for 7 years before taking time off to write. I've written 12 novels, the last four of which have become national bestsellers. I returned to teaching at an alternative setting, working with at-risk students and am now a middle school teacher in North Texas.
I am a middle school teacher by day, and a writer by night. I am the nationally bestselling author of A Magical Dressmaking Mystery Series, the Lola Cruz Mystery series, as well as the soon to be published Bread Shop Mysteries. I have also written two romantic suspense novels, a light paranormal romance, and I am the co-author of The Tricked-out Toolbox, a practical marketing guide for authors.
