TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have over 15 years of experience in education, including teaching Pre-K, elementary/middle school students, and adult learners. Within that time, I was also a program coordinator for an adult basic education and GED program. I've served as a Mentor teacher and grade 6 lead teacher. My classroom averages for standardized test scores in math and reading were 95% or higher each year I taught 6th grade (6 years).

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is fun, interactive, engaging, and student-centered. I've learned over the years to incorporate hands-on activities, inquiry-based learning experience, choice, and fun into virtually every subject and lesson. When students aren't engaged, they are either zoning out or acting out! Who wants that?!
