Currently, I teach seventh grade reading, serve as Grade Level Chair, and am the Assistant Chorus Director at KIPP Infinity Charter School in New York City. Prior to joining KIPP Infinity, I spent two years teaching sixth grade writing at KIPP DC: WILL Academy and serving as Grade Level Chair there.

While teaching at KIPP Infinity, I was awarded the Sontag Prize in Urban Education, a prize in which Boston Public Schools recognizes outstanding teaching in Mathematics, English Language Arts (ELA), and other disciplines and gives highly successful educators the chance to share best practices with their peers.
I received my B.A. in Communications from the University of Maryland, College Park and my M.A.T. in Secondary General Education from the Relay Graduate School of Education.
Outside of school, I enjoy singing and spending time with my closest family and friends.
