I have been teaching since 1999. I have taught 1st grade, 4th grade, and my all time favorite kindergarten. I have enjoyed teaching all of the above but kindergarten is where my heart is. This is my 11th year as a kindergarten teacher and I love it!!
I like to make teaching fun and interactive. I love using technology as much as possible.
I have been nominated for teacher of the year on more than one occasion. For the last nomination I received a trophy, a Nook color, and a Barnes and Noble gift card.
I attended the following schools: Baker College-Flint and University of Michigan-Flint
I love my job and my life. I am a wife, mother of three, and grandmother of one. I have been published in The Michigan Reading Journal, The Mailbox, and The Helping Hand which is a newsletter for The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation (My 17 year old son is a brain tumor survivor. He was diagnosed at age 3 and under went brain surgery and has been tumor free for the past 14 years).
