TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught at the elementary and middle school levels. I currently teach 3rd grade at a Title 1 school.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I employ CGI in my math class and a lot of hands on activities in science. In addition, my students are learning strategies for note taking and reading informational text.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Everyday, I am rewarded when I see my students making learning gains or responsibly carrying out assigned tasks. My biggest reward to date was to be invited to speak with the Secretary of Education in Washington, DC. That I will never forget.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I received my BA in History from Loyola University of Chicago. I earned my M.Ed. from National-Louis University in Evanston, IL.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

When I'm not teaching or creating materials to help with classroom management or learning, I play a lot of beach volleyball or shell on the beach.
