TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have fifteen years of experience working in middle school and high school classrooms from inner city, rural, and Western Africa. I have twenty years of experience with curriculum writing and development. I have also developed and delivered numerous professional development trainings. Currently I am working in a Science and Technology museum as Education Director where I assist with developing programs from pre-k through adult in science, math and technology areas.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am definitely a hands on, student centered, practice based instructor. I like inquiry style when it fits appropriately. I prefer assessments to be aligned with the teaching style and incorporate process, lab skills, and problem solving.

My experience includes working in West Africa, the inner city of Syracuse, Oneida Nation, Charter school, home school programs, and New York State public schools. I love my work and teaching and wish to share ideas that inspire one another.
