TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching 7th grade science for over 13 years. The units that I teach involve Thermal Energy, Weather, Electricity and Magnetism, Sound and Light, Astronomy, Cells, Microscopes, and the Environment.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I facilitate learning through blending hands-on, exploration, discussion, application, and guided instruction. My approach is to get students involved to become active, life-long learners.

I am active in grant writing and technology leadership. I've written many grants in the past to provide my students with a variety of learning experiences. I am also very involved with technology as a tech mentor for my building and member of the District Technology Leadership Team.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Education through UW-Eau Claire, and Master of Arts in Education with an emphasis in Technology Leadership through Marian University.

I enjoy camping, kayaking, reading, hiking, etc.
