I have taught for eight fantastic years! I am about to start my ninth year of teaching at Edwards Elementary School in Chesterfield, SC. I taught first grade and third grade, but my heart belongs in kindergarten--where most of my experience is.
I love teaching and everything that being a teacher embodies. My teaching style is fun, playful, and creative. I love teaching children through games and hands-on activities. Making learning a fun and enjoyable experience is my number one goal. Check out some ideas and pictures from my classroom at my blog! www.crayonsandhoneybuns.blogspot.com
Teacher of the Year 2014-2015
I graduated in 2008 with a degree in Early Childhood Education from the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC. I also have my Master of Arts in Teaching with a specialization in reading and literacy.
I live outside in the little southern town of Cheraw, South Carolina with my husband and pets. I have a little Yorkie, Oliver, who is spoiled rotten. I am also a mommy to a lop-eared spotted rabbit named Buttons the Bunny. I love all things "bunny"--even my classroom theme is, you guessed it...bunnies! My hobbies include making new and exciting activities for my classroom, shopping, baking, and spending time with the people I love.
