TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This is my 7th year teaching 5th grade math in Tennessee. I have also taught Science and Social Studies in the past.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love helping students have “aha” moments in math. There is no better feeling than watching a struggling student master a new concept with confidence!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated from Lee University in 2011 with a degree in Middle Grades Education. Following graduation I began teaching in Nashville while pursuing my masters degree at Vanderbilt University. In 2013 I graduated from Vanderbilt with a masters in Teaching and Learning in Urban Schools.

Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my husband, who is also a teacher, our son Sam, and our two lab pups!
