I currently teach 4th and 5th grade students. Most of my students are cognitively impaired or have autism. Everyday in my classroom is an adventure and I love every second of it. My students spend the majority of their day in my classroom but they go to specials, lunch, recess and usually science and social studies. I teach reading, writing, math and life skills daily.
I have high expectations for my students and believe they can conquer the world...or at least 4th and 5th grade :)
Yet to be added
I graduated high school, coach and now work in the same district. I received my B.S with my elementary teaching certificate and a k-12 Cognitive Impairment endorsement from Eastern Michigan University. I graduated in December 2013 from EMU with my M.A in special education as well as an additional endorsement in Emotional Impairments. Although I am done with my formal education right now I continue to grow and learn through other amazing teacher authors.
