I worked as a para professional during undergrad and was hired in the same district following graduation. I have worked in that same district since 2012. I have been a 4th/5th grade resource room teacher and lifeskills teacher as well as a Y5-3rd grade teacher consultant. I have worked with students with the following special education eligibilities: Autism, Cognitive Impairments, Emotional Impairments, Physical Impairments, Health Impairments, Severe Multiple Impairments, Learning Disabilities, Speech and Language Impairment and Deaf/Hard of Hearing. I have experience working with students Y5-12th grade.
I believe that all students are capable of learning and it is up to us as educators to find ways to make the curriculum accessible for all!
Yet to be added
I have a B.S. in Elementary Education (2012) and a M.A. in Special Education (2013). I have an endorsement in cognitive impairments and am certified to teach students with special needs from K-26 years old.
