I have been teaching science for 16 years. I have taught IB level biology, as well astronomy, environmental science, chemistry and physics. My passion is teaching biology though. I also teach human physiology and a college in the high school course on neurobiology and addiction. Currently, I am the secondary science specialist for our district, where I organize and deliver professional development for teachers around NGSS and problem based learning.
Hands-on. I rarely lecture in my class. My style is very interactive and I need my students to be "working"! My classroom is set up for group work and enlist many different strategies and activities to facilitate effective group work in my classroom.
