Every week I draw during the sermon. I have created over a dozen sketches so far! As we are in the advent season, I thought I would make my black and white sketches into coloring sheets. These aren't meant for lessons, just for fun and reflection.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching Art and Art History activities to 2nd through 12 graders for about 10 years. I have taught exclusively to homeschooled students in a tutorial setting.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love organized chaos. I love to apply art history techniques to children's understanding of art. I love giving children REAL art supplies and elevating their work. I love driving home educational standards for art through fun repetition and visual aides.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

ArtsMove recipient 2007, Chattanooga TN.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have many years of college under my belt, but my best education has been from my students, my own children and the needs in my city.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I have been teaching art to homeschooled students for ten years. I love sharing my love of art with curious and creative students! I am a homeschooling parent myself to my three children. I am a native of Chattanooga TN, and have worked with many talented artists in this awesome city! My perspective on art education stems from faith in my Lord Jesus. I desire to show each student how they are created to be creative, by a wonderful, awesome, Creator God.
