TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching since the 2008-2009 school year in a variety of levels. I have taught K-5 Special Education, high school special education resource, inclusion and non-cat Reading Intervention, and Grades 3-5 Special Education Resource and Push In Support.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe it is important to expose students to a variety of ways to learn the information. I have spent a lot of time taking information taught in the general education classroom and creating tools, organizers, strategies to help the students best understand the information at their level.

I have a bachelors in Elementary Education with endorsements in special education and reading. I have an ESL, Middle School Language Arts, and Teacher Leader endorsements. I earned my Masters in Reading to be a Reading Specialist.

I love being creative and bringing creativity into the classroom whenever possible. I believe that quotes can go a long way and change a person's day and mindset. I surround myself with quotations whenever possible to stay focused, calm and positive. I try to bring this mindset into the classroom and help students change their mindsets as well.
