10 years as a Middle School and High School Learning Center Teacher at a Private Christian Academy; 10 years as a Middle School and High School Math teacher at Alvin I.S.D. in Alvin, Texas. 10 years at Houston I.S.D. as a Math teacher, Math lead teacher, Department Chair and Teacher Intervention Specialist. Currently, retired teacher and Math Consultant Specialist.

MY TEACHING STYLE

DISCOVERY!! I love seeing the expressions on the faces of students when they light up with 'understanding'! Therefore, my teaching style incorporates hands-on activities, modeling with different types of tiles, blocks, cubes, dice, patty paper and other manipulatives. Creating products, presenting, and many more discovery based activities and are all part of the daily routines in my classroom. Every minute counts because time flies in my classroom when every student is actively engaged.
