TEACHING EXPERIENCE

In my eight years of teaching, I have a wide range of experiences. I have taught 1st grade, worked in a classroom with EBD students, foster youth, and am currently working as an English Language Learner (ELL) teacher for 1st through 5th graders.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I strive to create a welcoming classroom that is focused on student personal growth and success. I believe that students and teachers can help each other learn and view myself as a guide in the journey of the young ones I get to work with every day. My students teach me new things every day, and I absolutely love watching their eyes light up when they learn something new! Whether it be language acquisition, or a native speaker learning to read, the "light bulb" moment is the reason I love teaching.
