I have had the pleasure of teaching a range of grades from Developmental Preschool to College classes. For the past nine years, I have taught first grade and I love it!
I am very energetic and focus on students doing the thinking. My strong classroom management empowers learners to discover their own questions and answers and take ownership in his/her learning. I never give up and will do whatever it takes to differentiate and support student learning. I am grateful every day that I get to go to work and be with first graders...they're hysterical!
I have been awarded several grants: Our first grade team developed and produced a DVD to introduce parents to first grade. Most recently, I received a grant to purchase chicken egg incubators so my students can learn about the life cycle of a chicken.
